About us
Identity Partners
Identity Partners exists for people who want something more human, more intelligent, and significantly less risk averse than the standard menu of helping professions. Not therapy. Not coaching. Not mentoring. Not consultancy. And not companionship.
Each of those models offers something valuable – but each also carries structural limits. Therapy is safe but non‑reciprocal. Coaching is optimistic but often superficial. Mentoring is well‑intentioned but hierarchical. Consultancy is expert but impersonal. And companionship offers presence without purpose.
Our work exists both between and beyond these models – not merely as a corrective hybrid, but as a distinct relational practice. We offer the psychological safety of therapy, the inherent positivity of coaching, the collegiate sentiment of mentoring, and the strategic clarity of consultancy. Beyond each of these, though, our approach delivers the human warmth of genuine partnership. We see risk not in the presence of an interpersonal relationship, but in the absence of one.
Unlike therapy, counselling, or coaching – wherein the very thought of an interpersonal connection between practitioner and client can have Management reaching for the Safeguarding policy – we believe that more meaningful results can be delivered in a way that is both accelerated and lasting when trust and rapport are strongest.
This is partnership, not provision. A relationship with structure, not a service with scripts. A place where identity, experience, and direction can be explored without the constraints of a medical model, the performance of coaching, or the asymmetry of consultancy.
